Sloped Line Drainage is becoming a necessity to cope with our increasingly wet climate. High hydraulic capacity channel drainage systems are not new to Killeshal, but we now offer Ulma polymer concrete channel drainage with a built-in 2.5% slope to handle the surface water issues associated with heavy and sustained downpours.
Sloped Line Drainage for Surface Water Management
Killeshal have offered Line Drainage Systems for years and we’ve built up a good understanding of what is best suited to any given project. Our ULMA Sloped Line Drainage is available for runs of up to 40 linear meters on a single water outlet.

The ability to cope with higher volumes of surface water in a shorter time is becoming increasingly essential as we face the likelihood of more and more extreme weather events ( wetter winters ).
Heavy and sustained downpours with their resultant surface water management challenges will be a fact of life and Sloped Line Drainage can be a significant part of the solution.
Advantages of Sloped Channel Drainage
That built-in 2.5% slope brings some distinct advantages over non-sloped channel drainage systems:
Higher hydraulic capacity -100 l/s in 20 ml. * Study conducted by the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya
Self-cleaning effect that allows the inside of the channel to remain clean at a low flow rate (from rainwater). It obtains a greater capacity to remove the sediment that can accumulate during heavy rains. This leads to a reduction in the need for maintenance.
Possibility of installing up to 40 ml. It is possible to install two sections of 20 metres each, with a single water outlet.
