On 8 October 2026, a team of employees from Killeshal will take on a shared challenge with a clear goal: run a combined 100km in one day for the excellent Féileacáin charity.

To launch Mark Molloy’s Dublin Marathon, and then 13 days later, his Sea-2-Summit fundraising campaign for Féileacáin in memory of his son, Baby Mark, members of the Killeshal team will take on the 100k in a day challenge on 8th October, with each of the team running a 10km relay. See the poster for detail here: 100K-in-a-Day

Wide-angle view of relay runners on a quiet Irish country road.
The team effort begins one kilometre at a time.

The event will be run in association with Aura Leisure Centre, Tullamore and Midlands Radio 103. It's called 100K in A Day, will see colleagues complete the distance in relays, passing the effort from runner to runner until the full 100km is reached. It is a simple challenge: bring people together, reach 100km, and support an important cause! Féileacáin provides vital care & support to families following the death of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth..

A workplace challenge with a bigger purpose

Now we’re inviting other workplaces, clubs and groups around the country

to join us and take on their own 100K in a Day challenge.

Could your workplace complete 100K in a Day?

There are no rules. Walk it, run it, or do a mixture of both!

20 people run 5Km each - 50 people run 2Km each - 2 Ultra-runners do 50Km each.

Do it whatever way you want, reach 100km, and support an important cause!

The distance itself gives the event its character. 100km is long enough to feel ambitious, but it becomes achievable when split across a group. That makes it a strong symbol for charity work, where many small acts can add up to something powerful, and the relay format also keeps energy high throughout the day. As the total distance grows, the team can see their progress in real time.

That visible progress matters. It turns the event into more than a run. It becomes a shared story that colleagues can follow from start to finish.

What the day will involve

  • A team of Killeshal employees will take part.

  • The event will take place on 8 October 2026.

  • The group will run 100km in total, running the distance in relay stages.

  • And above all, raise support and awareness for the Féileacáin charity.

Killeshal’s 100K in A Day charity relay is set to be a focused, energetic, and worthwhile challenge. On 8 October 2026, the distance will be measured in kilometres, but the real result will come from the thought behind every step in supporting Féileacáin.
