If there was one thing that we are guaranteed to get in the British Isles its rain, and lots of it. So how do we handle all that surface water on our roads and pavements? Drainage Kerbs!
Drainage Kerb
The only truly effective way to manage drainage and safely direct surface water away from roadways and paved areas is to select the correct drainage kerb system for the location… and that’s where the winning combination of the Killeshal Drainage Kerb Range and the highly experienced Killeshal Team comes in.
The diagram below shows a sample construction comprising a number of our Drainage System components working together to effectively manage excess surface water.
Key design features include:

The Inspection Box allows access for observation
Usually once per every 10-20 safety kerbs
The Silt Box is an almost square unit
Includes a cast iron lid and provides easy access for cleaning purposes
The silt box usually appears at corners or at junctions where safety kerbs intersect.
In addition to those shown in the above diagram, our range of Drainage Kerbs includes:
Channel (or dished) Kerbs
Matching Gully Risers
Cast Iron Gully Lids.
